The Familiar Faces Behind Every Day
The heart of Cuddly Bear Day Care Centre is its people. Our educators are qualified, experienced and, above all, familiar, because most of them have been here for years. That continuity is rare in early education, and it is one of the biggest reasons families across Woodlands and the western suburbs stay with us.
Our team
Meet the director, room leaders, educators and cook who care for our children each day. Our team brings experience from different countries and backgrounds, with several educators who have been part of Cuddly Bear for more than a decade.
Ruba began her early childhood career while expecting her third child. She values the relationships built over the years with families and the centre's long-serving educators. Seeing children arrive happy and ready to share something from home is one of her favourite parts of the day.
Originally from Bhutan, Kezang has spent her 10 years in early childhood education at Cuddly Bear. She leads the Babies room and is the centre's second in charge. She enjoys helping children feel secure enough to explore and values the relationships she has built with families.
Julie grew up around her mother's day care centre in South Africa. She now works with our 3 to 6 year olds, helping them build confidence and the skills they will take to school. Away from work, she loves spending time with her family.
Jenny moved from Greece to Australia in 2014 and joined Cuddly Bear in 2016. Working across the rooms lets her support children at different stages. She enjoys planning experiences that encourage creativity and curiosity, and loves exploring the outdoors and different cultures.
Sangay worked as a teacher in Bhutan before continuing her education in Australia. She brings a calm, caring approach to the Toddlers room and enjoys building relationships that help children feel safe, confident and ready to learn.
Claudia began working with children as a dance teacher in 2021 and joined Cuddly Bear in 2023. She brings her love of singing, movement and dance into the Toddlers room. She is studying at Edith Cowan University and enjoys celebrating the small achievements children make each day.
Originally from Hawaii, Aubree supports children across all three rooms. Her experience includes after-school programs and supporting children on the autism spectrum in the United States. She also helps share learning experiences from the centre through social media. Outside work, she loves music, travel and time outdoors.
Gul prepares meals for the children and enjoys being part of their daily care. A mum of three with roots in Iran and Afghanistan, she values getting to know the children, families and educators. She enjoys travel and speaks three languages.

Qualifications and training
Our team includes an Early Childhood Teacher, Diploma educators and Certificate III educators. All educators hold First Aid, Anaphylaxis, Asthma & Allergy Management, Child Protection and Food Safety training. We continue to develop our skills through ongoing professional learning.
